Frequently Asked Questions: Travel Companions
Clear guidelines on fees, safety, and booking travel buddies.
How do I find a verified travel companion in Kenya?
On Ineship, browse verified companion profiles filtered by destination (Nairobi, Diani, Maasai Mara), travel rhythm, and declared daily rates. Both parties must pass government ID and 3D facial biometric KYC before connecting.
How does payment work for paid travel companions?
Companions declare their daily or hourly rate upfront. Travelers deposit the agreed amount into OgottoPay escrow, which holds the funds securely and releases them directly to the companion's M-Pesa or bank account once travel milestones are met.
Is travel companionship romantic or professional?
Travel companionship on Ineship is flexible based on mutual profile tags. Many companions act as local tour guides, wildlife spotters, or photography buddies. For dating intent, users switch on their separate verified dating persona.
What is the policy on overnight accommodations?
To ensure maximum safety and comfort, Ineship community standards require separate private rooms for travelers and companions on any overnight trips.
