Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026 • Compliant with Kenya Data Protection Act 2019 & GDPR
1. Introduction & Scope
Ineship ("we", "us", or "our"), operated by Ogotto Holdings Limited, is committed to protecting your privacy and personal data. This Privacy Policy details how we collect, process, and safeguard your information when using our web platform, mobile applications, and associated identity services.
2. In-App Biometric KYC & utambuliSSO Authentication
To prevent fraud, catfishing, and impersonation, users authenticate via our Single Sign-On partner, utambuliSSO, and complete biometric KYC verification directly within Ineship.
- Government ID: Passports, national IDs, or driver’s licenses are verified cryptographically and never sold to third parties.
- Facial Liveness: 3D motion vectors confirm physical presence and are transformed into mathematical hashes; raw video streams are discarded immediately post-validation.
3. Geolocation & Travel Itinerary Data
Ineship matches travelers based on destination intentions and voluntary check-ins. We do not constantly broadcast your precise live GPS location to other users. Discovery radar operates at a city/regional level unless you explicitly share an active itinerary check-in with a verified travel companion.
4. Escrow Financial Data (OgottoPay)
Payment transactions for subscriptions, cost splitting, and local tour guide escrow are processed via licensed payment aggregators (Paystack & OgottoPay). Ineship does not store raw credit card PANs or M-Pesa account PINs on its application servers.
